Ploughing the Field of Chinese Culture Preparing Hearts for the Gospel

The biggest difficulty for the Chinese in accepting the Gospel of Christ lies in the tremendous cultural hurdles. Removing obstacles hostile to the gospel, as if to “plough the soil” is, therefore, necessary for Christianity to prosper in the great land of China. This is exactly the vision received by the Blessings Cultural Mission Fellowship at its inception. How do we “improve the soil”? The renowned Christian thinker, Francis A. Schaeffer, believes that it can be done by transforming the views in academia and mass media. Hence we focus our mission on cultivating talents in these two areas, enabling the Christian scholars to transform ideologies, and Christian media workers to change the views among the populace. By these efforts we hope to reconstruct the worldviews of Chinese people so as to influence their behavioral patterns.  We hope to see the gospel bearing abundant fruit in mainland China, and God’s grace overflowing to the rest of the world.
